Important: These Terms are a binding agreement between you and the operator identified in your Zuno Apps account, order form, or invoice (collectively, “Zuno Apps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). If you use Zuno Apps for an organization, you confirm that you can bind that organization.
1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account, clicking acceptance, purchasing a plan, or using the services, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 and legally capable of contracting. Do not use the services if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.
2. The service
Zuno Apps provides cloud-based point-of-sale, catalog, order, customer, expense, reporting, invoice, team, and related business tools. Our products include Zuno POS and other Zuno Apps products we add over time; these Terms apply to each of them unless a product states otherwise. Features may vary by plan, device, country, configuration, and third-party availability. We may improve, replace, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee that every feature is available in every location.
Zuno Apps is business software, not a bank, payment processor, accountant, tax adviser, law firm, insurer, marketplace, employer, or recordkeeping authority. Unless expressly stated, we do not receive or hold your customers’ money or guarantee any transaction, buyer, seller, employee, product, tax result, or legal compliance.
3. Accounts and security
- Provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
- Protect credentials, devices, API keys, and access codes; use appropriate roles and remove former staff promptly.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for authorized users’ conduct.
- Notify support immediately of suspected unauthorized access. We may require verification before changing ownership or access.
- We may reject confusing, abusive, fraudulent, or impersonating account names.
4. Plans, trials, billing, cancellation, and refunds
Plans and how you pay
Paid plans are sold monthly, and where we offer it, yearly. Before you confirm a purchase, we or the applicable app store will show the plan, included features, price and currency, taxes where ascertainable, the billing period (monthly or yearly), any trial or introductory terms, and when the first charge is due. A yearly plan is a single payment for twelve months of access, usually at a lower price than twelve monthly payments. Your Subscription screen always shows your plan, whether you pay monthly or yearly, the date the current period started, the date it ends or renews, and whether auto-renew is on.
Automatic renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically for another period of the same length (a month for a monthly plan, a year for a yearly plan) at the then-disclosed price until you turn auto-renew off or cancel. By confirming a purchase, you authorize the billing provider shown at checkout (for direct purchases, Stripe) to charge your selected payment method at purchase and at each renewal, including applicable taxes. We will give notice of price changes when and as required by law, and a new price applies only from your next renewal. We may email a reminder before a yearly renewal.
Free trials
A free trial or introductory offer gives access to the stated plan for the stated time without a charge. Unless the checkout disclosure says a paid subscription starts automatically, a trial ends on its stated date and the business moves to the Free plan; paid tools lock while your data stays stored. Where a trial converts to a paid subscription, it does so on the stated date unless you cancel before then.
Turning auto-renew off and cancelling
You can turn auto-renew off or cancel at any time from Subscription & Billing in the service (business owner only), or through the billing provider used for the purchase. This stops future renewals; it does not end access immediately. You keep the paid plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, then the business moves to the Free plan and nothing further is charged. You can turn auto-renew back on before the period ends. Deleting the app or ceasing use does not cancel a subscription. For a monthly plan, cancelling part-way through a month does not refund the rest of that month. For a yearly plan, turning auto-renew off does not refund any part of the year.
Changing plans
- Upgrading on a monthly plan. A higher plan starts immediately. We show the exact amount due, including any prorated charge or credit for the unused part of the current period, and you must confirm it before you are charged.
- Upgrading on a yearly plan. A higher yearly plan starts immediately and you stay on yearly. You pay only the difference in price for the rest of the paid year, shown to you before you confirm. Your renewal date does not change.
- Moving from monthly to yearly. The yearly period starts on the day you confirm. You are charged the yearly price less a credit for the unused days of your current month, shown before you confirm. The yearly period then renews each year until you turn auto-renew off.
- Downgrading, or moving from yearly to monthly. This takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, not before. You keep your current plan and its features until then, nothing is refunded for unused time, and the new plan and price apply from that date. You can cancel a planned change before it takes effect.
- Moving to a plan for a different type of business. The rules above apply in the same way. A plan change can lock features that are not part of the new plan; your data stays stored.
Plan changes may reduce features, limits, or stored-data access once they take effect.
Payment history and receipts
The owner can see the payments made for the business, with dates, amounts and receipts, in Subscription & Billing. Receipts and invoices are issued by the billing provider.
Taxes
Prices may be shown with or without taxes depending on your country and the checkout screen. Where tax applies, it is added at checkout and shown on your receipt. You are responsible for any taxes that the billing provider does not collect.
Refund policy
Except where required by applicable law or the rules of the billing provider used for your purchase, payments are final and non-refundable. This includes monthly and yearly plans, partially used periods, unused accounts, downgrades, turning auto-renew off or cancelling, deleting the business or account, and a renewal charge you did not cancel in time. This does not limit any mandatory cooling-off, withdrawal, statutory refund, or consumer-guarantee right. If required service is materially unavailable or a charge is unauthorized or incorrect, contact Help & Support promptly so we can investigate. Refund requests for app-store-billed purchases must be submitted to that app store and are governed by its refund process. An approved refund may cause paid access to end or revert to a lower plan.
Billing problems
If a renewal fails, we or the billing provider may retry the charge and send notices. If it still fails, we may restrict paid features, move the business to the Free plan, or suspend the account. You remain responsible for valid accrued amounts and taxes. If a charge is disputed, contact us first where possible; nothing prevents you from exercising rights with your payment provider.
Android and app-store purchases
The checkout screen identifies the seller of record and billing provider. If you purchase through Google Play or another app store, that store processes the payment and its billing, cancellation, and refund terms also apply; where those mandatory terms conflict with this section, they control. Manage or cancel an app-store subscription through the store account used to purchase it. If checkout identifies Stripe as the billing provider, the purchase is made directly from us and can be managed through our Subscription & Billing controls. Availability of a payment method in an Android app depends on country, distribution channel, user type, and app-store rules.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Zuno Apps to:
- break law, sanctions, export controls, consumer rules, privacy rules, or third-party rights;
- sell or facilitate illegal, unsafe, stolen, counterfeit, infringing, deceptive, or restricted goods or services;
- commit fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, harassment, discrimination, exploitation, or unauthorized surveillance;
- upload malware, disrupt systems, bypass limits or security, probe vulnerabilities, scrape without permission, or reverse engineer except where law expressly permits;
- share unlawful, defamatory, obscene, abusive, or rights-infringing content;
- misrepresent affiliation, transaction details, prices, stock, taxes, receipts, or records; or
- resell or provide the service to third parties unless we authorize it in writing.
We may investigate suspected abuse, preserve evidence, restrict access, and cooperate with lawful requests.
6. Your merchant responsibilities
You are solely responsible for your business, products, pricing, stock, refunds, warranties, receipts, customer communications, permits, employee permissions, taxes, accounting, backups, and compliance. You decide what information to enter and must have all notices, permissions, and lawful bases needed to collect and use customer and worker data. Reports and calculations are tools and may contain errors; verify them before relying on them or filing anything.
7. Your content and data
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, transmit, display, and adapt that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service and meet legal duties. You represent that you have the necessary rights. You should export and retain records required for your business. Following termination, access may stop immediately and data may be deleted after applicable retention periods, subject to law and our Privacy Policy.
Feedback
If you provide ideas or feedback, we may use them without restriction or compensation, without identifying you publicly.
8. Third-party services
The service may integrate with hosting, authentication, analytics, app-store, messaging, payment, or other providers, including Stripe. Their terms and privacy practices apply separately. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, outages, acts, fees, content, or data handling. Links are provided for convenience, not endorsement.
9. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the service, software, design, trademarks, documentation, and all related rights. Subject to these Terms and payment of fees, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your internal lawful business operations. No other rights are granted.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that data will never be lost, that reports or tax calculations are correct, or that the service will meet your needs.
Internet, device, electrical, and third-party failures can interrupt service. Maintain reasonable offline procedures, security controls, and independent backups. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zuno Apps and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, licensors, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages; lost profits, revenue, goodwill, opportunity, anticipated savings, or business; loss or corruption of data; substitute services; or claims arising from merchants, customers, staff, taxes, inventory, unauthorized access, third parties, or service interruption, even if advised of the possibility.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) fees you paid us for the affected service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) USD 100 (or local equivalent). These limits apply across all theories and claims and reflect the allocation of risk. They do not limit liability that law does not permit us to limit, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct where applicable.
12. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Zuno Apps and its affiliates, personnel, and providers from third-party claims, losses, penalties, liabilities, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your business, goods or services, content, taxes, employment practices, customer disputes, breach of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of rights. We may control the defense, and you will reasonably cooperate. You may not settle a claim imposing liability or admissions on us without written consent.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, non-payment, material breach, risk to others, fraud, or discontinuation. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. Provisions intended by their nature to survive, including payment, ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, disputes, and general terms, survive termination.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator identified on your invoice or order form is registered, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. Courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer or local law provides otherwise. Before filing a claim, each party will give written notice and try in good faith for 30 days to resolve it. Claims must be brought individually, not as a class or representative action, to the extent law permits.
15. General
We may update these Terms to reflect legal, security, or service changes. We will post the updated date and provide additional notice for material changes where required. For material changes that require a renewed agreement, we will provide notice in the app or by email and ask for acceptance before those changed terms apply. Routine feature and appearance updates do not by themselves require renewed acceptance. Mandatory notice periods and legal rights continue to apply. We may assign these Terms in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, sale, or transfer; you may not assign them without consent. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be narrowed and the rest remains effective. No waiver is continuing. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, plan disclosures, and any signed order form are the entire agreement; a signed order form controls if it expressly conflicts.
16. Online booking payments and Stripe
Stripe processes the payments
Where a business switches on online payment for its Zuno booking page, the card payment is taken and processed by Stripe, an independent payment provider, not by us. To take online payments you must create or connect a Stripe account and accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement. Stripe handles card and bank details under its own Privacy Policy; we do not receive full card numbers or bank account numbers.
Stripe decides who can take payments
Stripe, not Zuno Apps, verifies your identity and bank account, decides whether to approve or suspend your account, and decides the countries and currencies it supports. We currently support online payment for businesses in Ireland and the rest of the European Economic Area, in euros. Where Stripe is not available for your country or has not activated your account, online payment stays off and customers can still book and pay at the venue.
We do not handle payments
Zuno Apps provides software. We do not receive, hold, transmit or pay out your customers’ money, we are not a bank or payment institution, and we are not a party to the sale between you and your customer. You are the seller. You are responsible for the price, deposits, cancellation and refund rules shown to your customers, refunds, chargebacks and disputes, taxes, receipts and compliance with consumer law. Refunds are made from your Stripe account. Stripe’s processing fees are charged by Stripe and are generally not returned when a payment is refunded.
Our service fee
We charge a service fee on each online payment taken through Zuno Apps online booking, as a percentage of the amount paid online. The current percentage is always shown in your Online payment settings. It is collected automatically through Stripe when the payment is made. Bookings paid at the venue carry no service fee from us. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice, in the app, before the fee goes up. Whenever the fee changes or is announced, the owner and admins of your business see a pop-up the next time they open Zuno Apps, showing the old percentage, the new percentage and the date it applies from, and the latest change stays visible in your Online booking settings. A change applies only to payments made after it takes effect. If a customer is refunded in full, we refund our fee on that payment.
No responsibility for Stripe
We are not responsible for Stripe’s services, outages, declined or delayed payments, holds, account reviews or closures, fees, or decisions. Sections 8, 10 and 11 apply to Stripe and to online payments.
Your customers and their payments
When a customer books and pays through your Zuno Apps booking page, the contract is between you and the customer. We are not a party to it, we do not provide your services, and we are not liable to your customer for any payment, refund, cancellation, change, no-show, dispute or loss connected with it. The booking page tells customers this before they book and asks them to agree. You may cancel or change appointments, and you alone decide and issue refunds from your Stripe account. You agree to keep us (and our officers, employees and suppliers) harmless against claims from your customers about their bookings and payments, as set out in section 12.
AI features and generated content
AI-assisted tools are optional and subject to the plan, access settings, allowances and provider availability. Zuno integrates third-party models into business workflows; it does not guarantee output accuracy, suitability, uniqueness, ownership or non-infringement. Review generated names, prices, descriptions, claims, images and links before using or publishing them. Your merchant responsibilities and applicable consumer rights remain unchanged.
You must have the necessary rights to inputs and comply with privacy, intellectual-property, advertising and marketing rules. Generating a campaign does not supply recipient consent or automatically post or send it. Included tokens are internal usage allowances with no cash value. Fair-use limits are explained in AI use. No additional token purchase or guaranteed quantity of outputs is offered by that workflow.
17. Notices and contact
Send questions, legal notices, or complaints through Help & Support inside the app. We may send notices to your account email, inside the service, or by posting them. Keep your contact information current.
Implementation note: Legal terms cannot eliminate every risk, and mandatory local laws still apply. Have qualified counsel adapt this document to your actual company name, address, countries, payment flows, and regulated activities before launch.
